Welcome to SwiftGo, operated by SwiftGo Technologies ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting the privacy of our drivers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your personal information in compliance with the Ghana Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and Google Play Store policies.
To provide our services, we collect the following types of information:
Personal Identification: Name, phone number, email address, and home address.
Documents: Driver’s license, vehicle registration, and insurance details.
Location Data: Precise and approximate location data.
Financial Information: Mobile money details or bank account info for payouts.
SwiftGo collects location data to enable trip tracking, route optimization, and fare calculation even when the app is closed or not in use.
Why? To ensure riders can track their driver's arrival and to maintain the safety and integrity of the trip if you switch to another app or take a call during a ride.
Control: You can stop location tracking by going "Offline" or adjusting your device settings, though this will prevent you from receiving ride requests.
We use your data to:
Match you with nearby riders.
Calculate trip distances and fares.
Process earnings and payouts.
Verify your identity and vehicle eligibility (safety checks).
Send important service-related notifications.
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:
Riders: Your name, photo, vehicle details, and real-time location during a trip.
Service Providers: Cloud hosting (e.g., Google Firebase) and payment processors.
Legal Authorities: When required by Ghanaian law or to protect the safety of our users.
Under Act 843, you have the right to access and delete your data.
Retention: We keep your data as long as your account is active.
Deletion: You may request account deletion through the app settings or by contacting us at [Insert Support Email]. Upon request, we will delete your personal data unless we are legally required to keep it (e.g., for tax or audit purposes).
We implement industry-standard encryption to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
